Felix C. Podolak, 96, Of Garfield GARFIELD, N.J. – Felix C. Podolak, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died Tuesday, March 15. He was 96. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was part of the D-Day invasion of Normandy. He was a member of the Wallington VFW Post 2640 and the Tin Can Sailors.  He worked as a maintenance foreman for both Inmont Corp. in Hawthorne for 26 years and Napp Chemical in Lodi for six years before retiring in 1984. He was a parishioner and member of the Holy Name Society of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, and a member of the Belmont Garden Seniors in Garfield. He is survived by his daughter…

She graduated from The Bryn Mawr School where she was a talented athlete and president of the school during her senior year. She graduated from Vassar College in 1954.
