NYACK, N.Y. – Lois Van Houten, a resident of Nyack, died Friday, March 18. She was 87.
She was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Upper Nyack to George Stanley Taylor and Marguerite Charters.
She is survived by her brother, Stanley; her four children, Ronnie, Bonnie, Penny and Karen along with their spouses; and her 11 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her parents; her brother, George; and her sister, Laura.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her honor to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956-3505.

She was born July 20, 1932, in Tuexdo, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Dunko.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Jones of Monticello, Linda Pierce and husband Rob of Highland Mills and Margaret Briscione and husband Jay of Oceanport; and grandchildren, Allison Massaro, Maria Vizza, and Geoffrey Briscione.

CLINTON CORNERS, N.Y. – Vincent J. Moody Sr., a resident of Clinton Corners and Poughkeepise native, died Friday, March 18. He was 91.
He was born May 14, 1924, in Poughkeepsie., the son of Wesley and Nora (Neil) Moody. He was the co-owner and operator of Moody Brother’s Dairy Farm in Clinton Corners.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Margaret K. Schak, a lifelong resident of Rutherford who served as the town's first female mayor, died Friday, March 18. She was 94.She was valedictorian at St. Mary's Class of 1939 and graduated from Newark Secretarial School. She worked in personnel at Sears, Roebuck in Newark, where she met her husband. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s RC Church in Rutherford.
