Westchester Native Durst Says He Was High On Meth When Taping HBO Show Accused murderer Robert Durst, a Westchester native and millionaire real estate heir, told prosecutors that he was high on methamphetamines during interviews with the filmmakers of the HBO special “The Jinx” in court documents released Friday, according to The Los Angeles Times. The personal papers, obtained by the LA Times, also say Durst, a former South Salem resident, agreed to the interviews so he would appear to be normal.
