Old Tappan Scouts Send Care Package To Troops Overseas OLD TAPPAN, N.J. -- Holidays for the U.S. Troops will be a little bit brighter thanks to the generosity of the Old Tappan Scouts. Old Tappan Cub Scout Pack 132 presented the military with a care package on Dec. 12 when the U. S. Army came to speak with the boys about their experiences and jobs. The boys collected food and made cards, wrote letters and colored photos to send overseas and bring some holiday cheer to the men and women serving.  The U.S. Army presented the boys with water bottles. She was a banker with the First National Bank in Paterson, leaving there to raise her family. Upon returning to work she was an Office Manager with Quality Ambulance Service in Dover retiring in 2004. Bridgeport Seeks To Make Bethelehem Its Sister City BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- On Monday, just days before Christmas, the City Council will vote on whether Bridgeport will form a sister-city relationship with Bethlehem, which Christian believe is the birthplace of Jesus. Bridgeport Mayor Joseph P. Ganim, recently represented the city in a visit to the Mideast as a delegate of the International Conference of Mayors with dozens of other representatives.  Bridgeport hopes such a relationship will help bring about closer economic, cultural, and educational ties with that community. Both the PCHS JV and Varsity Cheer teams are competing Feb. 11-12 in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship.
