New Rochelle Plans State of the City Address NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The annual State of the City Address is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, March 3 at Beckwith Pointe in New Rochelle. Mayor Noam Bramson will reflect on past accomplishments and look ahead to future challenges. This event is sponsored by the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, which also hosts a cocktail hour and dinner starting at 6 p.m. at a cost of $55 per person. Pileated Woodpecker Spotted In Bedford BEDFORD, N.Y. — A woodpecker the size of a crow — the largest kind of North American Woodpecker — was spotted by a resident in Bedford recently. Known as the Pileated Woodpecker, it is distinctive because it is all black with a red crown and white markings. It was spotted hovering around a tree but then it flew away. Apple Replacing MacBook Charging Cables For Free Apple is replacing a limited number of MacBook USB-C charge cables due to a design issue that can cause improper charging, according to Apple’s website. A limited number of Apple USB-C charge cables that were included with MacBook computers through June 2015 may fail. As a result, MacBooks either won’t charge or only charge intermittently when it’s connected to a power adapter with an affected cable. Clifton Bowlers Win State Title CLIFTON, N.J. — The boys bowling team at Clifton High School won the Sectional Championship Feb. 5. The CHS Boys Bowling Team won the North 1B, Group 4 Sectional Championship. The team went 5-2 for the season. Bowlers included Bryan Cammerino, Johann Gamo, Nick Iannocome, Joe Paolillo, Tyler Stilley, and Nick Vilardi. The team is coached by Brian Small.
