2 Families Left Homeless, 9 Injured In Yonkers Apartment Fire YONKERS, N.Y. — A fire broke out overnight Tuesday on the first floor of a multi-family home on Park Avenue, causing the relocation of some occupants, reports the Yonkers Fire Department. The blaze at 44 Park Ave. was reported at 1:40 a.m. and fire companies were on the scene within minutes. The fire was primarily contained to the first floor of the five story, occupied dwelling, however there was some extension to the apartment above. The annual ‘Grape Adventure’ Wine Tasting Fundraiser is at the Rutherford Elks Lodge, 48 Ames Ave., Rutherford. There will be over 100 wines, along with craft beers and vodka tastings.
