Flomo Opens In Moonachie
MOONACHIE, N.J. — Flomo in Moonachie celebrated the opening of its new location on Wendnesday, according to NJBiz.com. The ribbon cutting ceremony marked the move of the company from its original location in Teterboro to its new location in the Meadowlands, which includes a new showroom, warehouse, and office space. Wyckoff Library Joins Global Cardboard Challenge
WYCKOFF, N.J. — Wykcoff Public Library will be participating in the annual Cardboard Challenge Saturday, February 20. The Cardboard Challenge is an event where children of all ages work together to build games and other things out of cardboard. The event will be hosted by two juniors at Ramapo High School, Alex Munao and A.J. Ferrara. It will take place from 1-4 p.m. in the Shotmeyer room at the Wykcoff Public Library. BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. — A paint party fundraiser will be held at the Bloomingdale Recreation Center Sunday, Feb. 21. The noon event costs $30 and proceeds benefit New Jersey Roller Derby. LEONIA, N.J. — Anna C. Scott Home and School Association presents Korean Culture Night on Friday, Feb. 26. Anna C. Scott School is holding the 2nd Korean Culture Night at 7 p.m. The event will include performances by Haru, the Korean Cultural Arts Center, the Rutgers Kpop Dancer Cover Club Woorigarak, and art director Eunjoo Kang. It will also include appearances by director Ji Sun Kim, ShinMyung Samulnori, and Dai Han Tae Kwon Do master Dae Han. The event is taking place at the Anna C. 'Stop Hunger Now' Meal Packing At Pascack Hills High School
MONTVALE, N.J. — Pascack Hills High School is having a meal packaging event in March. Wednesday, March 23, Stop Hunger Now is having an event at Pascack Hills High School where participants will package meals that will help to end hunger. The event will take place from 1:20- 3:20 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Stop Hunger Now hopes to package over 10,152 meals at the event that will be sent to feed people in need. Harrison Business Club Advances To State Competition
HARRISON, N.Y. — Students from the business club at Harrison High School have qualified to compete at the state level in Rochester. The Harrison High School DECA Business Club had an outstanding showing at the New York State Regional Competition held recently at Rockland Community College. As a result, 33 students have qualified to compete at the State level in Rochester, New York on March 9-11. Settlement Reached In Dutchess County Taser Lawsuit
RHINEBECK, N.Y. — The terms weren’t revealed, but a federal lawsuit brought against the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is settled, according to Poughkeepsie Journal. The lawsuit was filed after James J. Healey died in 2010 after being stunned by a Taser in his Rhinebeck home, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.
