Bridgeport Police: Family Of Four Arrested In Fatal July Shooting BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Four members of a Bridgeport family have been arrested in a July dispute that led to the fatal shooting of their neighbor, police said. Waldo “Abel” Gonzalez, 43, was charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a pistol without a permit and risk of injury to a minor in the death of Ronald Simmons, police said. Simmons, 44, was shot at the corner of Norman Street and Freemont Avenue after a July 2 dispute with the suspect and his family, police said. The suspect is being held on $1 million bond. On July 27, a 64-year-old woman was shopping at T.J. Maxx on Bridgeport Avenue, when another woman asked her to try on some clothing because she had the same figure of the person for whom the second woman was shopping, police said. The victim agreed and, when she came out of the dressing room, she found her purse was missing from her shopping cart, police said.
