Bethel SummerFest Celebrates Return With Early Bird Sale
BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel SummerFest is celebrating its 2016 return with an early bird presale with discounted tickets. SummerFest will feature a SplashFest on the lawn of the Municipal Center, as well as a StreetFest on P.T. Barnum Square with games, live music and vendors and sidewalk sales on Greenwood Avenue. Seniors Matthew O'Neil and Sabrina Maggiore addressed their classmates with the "Liberating, Exciting and Strange" and "Azucar" speeches, respectively. Two People Injured In Marple Road Crash In Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Two people were injured following a two-car crash into a Marple Road house Sunday morning, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Marple Road was closed between the Van Wagner Road entrance and the Seitz Terrace and Ray Boulevard intersection as police investigated the scene, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported. The crash took place at 47 Marple Road at around 11 a.m., said the Poughkeepsie Journal. CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Latin students at Horace Greeley High School recently won awards after the National Latin Exam Horace Greeley students participated along with more than 142,000 Latin students from across America and 13 foreign countries. Eric Wang won the American Classical League's Maureen O'Donnell Book Award. The honor is granted to students who earn four consecutive gold medals on the National Latin Exam. Shelbourne Drops Lawsuit
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Shelbourne withdrew the lawsuit they filed against 19 residents and civic associations objecting to the proposed assisted living facility. Paul Feiner, Greenburgh Town Supervisor, issued a statement earlier this week encouraging Shelbourne to withdraw their lawsuit.
