Mario J. Rega, 92, Of Beacon
BEACON, N.Y. -- Mario J. Rega, a longtime resident of Beacon, died Thursday, May 19. He was 92.Born Oct. 8, 1923, in New York City, he was the son of the late Henry and Adeline D’Attore Rega.
He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He retired as a correction officer from Fishkill Correctional Facility. He was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church. He was a life member of both St. Rocco’s Society and the Knights of Columbus, Trinity Council.

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Alicja Pietrasiak, a resident of Garfield and formerly of Wallington, died Thursday, May 19. She was 74.Born July 5, 1941, in Poland, she was the daughter to Antoni and Benedykta Pisarek.
She was a home health worker for many years and enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter Bogumila “Ewa” and husband Stanislaw Roczkowski of Lockport, Ill.; grandchildren Christopher and Dorothy; brother Tadeuz; and sister Teresa.
She was predeceased by her son Andrzej Pietrasiak.

Joan Cramer, 84, Of Nyack
NYACK, N.Y. -- Joan Cramer, a resident of Nyack, died Wednesday, May 18. She was 84.
She was born in the Bronx to Theresa Schneider and John Frederick Cramer. She resided in Nyack with her brother Richard’s family for more than 20 years, after her mother Theresa, who lived in the Bronx, passed away.
Cramer thoroughly enjoyed her time at the Nyack Senior Center, where she sang in the choral group, played bingo, was the star Wii bowler, enjoyed playing dominoes with Geraldine and especially loved listening to Marilyn Arnold play her accordion.

DUMONT, N.J. – Virginia Ann (Ginny) Conti, a resident of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and formerly of Dumont, died Monday, May 16. She was 85.
She was born in Englewood, N.J. She was an owner of Jilies Salon in Oradell, and also co-owner of Jilies II Salon in Deerfield Beach with her friend, the late Lucy Macagna.
She is survived by her sister, Theresa Byrd and husband Richard; stepchildren, Steven, Peter and Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Bogota. She also was an active member of the Bergen Irish Association, where she formally served as vice president. She also worked in the cafeteria at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
