PARAMUS, N.J. -- Stanley Blank, formerly of Paramus, died Friday, May 20. He was 89.Born Oct.11, 1926, in the Bronx, he was the son of Jacob and Rose Blank.
He was a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and City College of New York. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-46. He had a long career as the senior vice president of production with Parade Publications until his retirement at the age of 65.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Mathew R. Lease, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Friday, May 20. He was 89.Born in New York City and raised in North Bergen, he resided in Fair Lawn for 30 years.
He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Prior to retiring, he was a pharmacist with Damiano Pharmacy in Clifton for many years.

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Charles L. Albanese, a resident of Northvale, died Thursday, May 19. He was 97.He was born and resided in Northvale his entire life. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II serving with the 318th Fighter Group on Saipan and was a proud member of the American Legion for 62 years. He, along with his brothers, owned Albanese Brothers Contracting, which they began in 1945 and operated for more than 50 years.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Ella M. Swindells, a resident of Pearl River, died Friday, May 13. She was 90.Born Feb.3, 1926, in Norway, she was the daughter of Jens and Bertha Frivoll.
Locally, she was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pearl River.
She is survived by her son, Paul and wife, Kathy Swindells of West Nyack; granddaughter, Ashley Torralbas; grandson, Christopher Torralbas of Pearl River; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Sky Lynn and Angelina; sister, Arnhild; and brothers, Norman and Leif of Norway.

He was born Dec. 9, 1971, to Juana Rivera and Jorge Borgos in Nyack.

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Scott Damian Palmeri Scott, a resident of Hackensack and formerly of Ridgefield, died Tuesday, May 17. He was 50.He was the son of Anthony and the late Bonnie Jeannine Palmeri.
Before retiring, he worked for Tidewater Management, Hackensack as a property manager. He was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Rochelle Park.
