NYACK, N.Y. – Noreen Theresa Fitzgerald, a resident of Nyack, died Friday, May 20. She was 79.
Born Sept. 20,1936, in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of Daniel and Nora Mahoney. She lived on Kingsbridge Avenue and attended school there, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1953. In 1966, she moved to her current home in Upper Nyack with her children.
While living in Upper Nyack, she worked for several companies, including the Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center, the law firm of Mann and Mann and ultimately Orange and Rockland, from where she retired after more than 20 years in …

Walter W. Ficker, 88, Of Fishkill
FISHKILL, N.Y. – Walter W. Ficker, a resident of Fishkill, died Friday, May 20. He was 88.Born Sept. 28,1927, in Brooklyn, he was the son of Gustav and Meta Ficker.
In high school, he worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corp. On June 11, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, he married Ruth Nelsen. They moved to Fishkill and lived there for more than 60 years.

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Catherine O’Grady, a resident of Pleasantville, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, May 22. She was 86.She was born on Jan.31,1930, to James and Ellen Jane Durkin.
She grew up in Mount Vernon and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and graduated from A.B. Davis High School.

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Joseph O'Reilly, a resident of Yonkers, died Monday, May 23. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a longtime member of the American Legion, Post 1122. He worked for the N.Y. Central and Penn Central Railroads and retired from the Interstate Commerce Commission.
