Donated Cans Add Up To Halloween Dress Up For Elmsford Superintendent
ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- The community is asked to help the Elmsford Union Free School District collect canned goods for the local food pantry on Wednesday and Thursday. If 200 cans are collected, Superintendent of Schools Joseph Ricca will dress up on Halloween. Goods can be dropped off at Dixson Primary, Grady Elementary and at the superintendent's office at Alexander Hamilton High School. Happy Birthday To Wyckoff's Chris Hogan
WYCKOFF, N.J. --Happy Birthday to Wyckoff’s Chris Hogan! Hogan, who was born in Wyckoff, turns 28 today. The wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills was born Oct. 24, 1988. After attending Ramapo High School, he attended Penn State and played college football for one season at Monmouth. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. Hogan also has been a member of the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. He was featured prominently on the 2012 season of HBO's “Hard Knocks.”

Palisades Mall Employees Get Latest Security Training From CPD
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Palisades Center Mall added an extra layer of safety by having employees trained by the members of the Clarkstown Police on Wednesday. Safety and Security training was the focus, as police went to the mall and offered employees specialized instruction. The training made employees aware of procedures to be followed if there was a large scale incident such as a fire or an active shooter. ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Writers are wanted for a gathering at the Englewood Library on Thursday, Nov. 10. The monthly writers group meets at 7 p.m. in the library’s Mackay Room. The session meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, and the program is free and open to the public. Have Trouble Seeing? Hackensack Library Opens Assistive Tech Center
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Baby Boomers struggling with vision changes can head over to Bergen County's only Assistive Technology Center at the Johnson Library in Hackensack. The center opened Oct. 14 and offers free classes and use of iPads and desktop computers enabled with magnification and speech software. Adults ages 55 and older who have difficulty with their vision can sign up for training and ongoing access to the technology center at no cost.
