Ridgewood Library Welcomes Creative Speaker Danny Gregory RIDGEWOOD, N.J. --  Artist, author and speaker Danny Gregory of London comes to the Ridgewood Library on Friday, April 1 to offer a presentation on creativity.He will discuss the power of personal storytelling and how to develop creative habits. The program runs 7:30-10 p.m. and is open to adults and children 12 and up. Friends members and Ridgewood residents can register now through March 14. Reserved seating is available and there is no charge. Registration for people outside the community begins March 15. Cost is $15 per person.  Click here to register.

Rare Photo Of Former Ho-Ho-Kus Lake Unearthed By History Enthusiast HO-HO-KUS, N.J. -- Possibly the only photo of the now dried-up Ho-Ho-Kus Sylvan Lake was discovered in Brooklyn, according to northjersey.com.Resident Michael Reade found in an internet search that Brooklyn Museum had photos of a 'Ho-Ho-Kus Pond' and said no one has seen a picture of the lake in over 140 years, according to northjersey.com. Sylvan Lake was once a resort and tourist destination, and one of the first Erie Railroad stops, says northjersey.com.   The area is now Zabriskie Park, which is currently undergoing a facelift,  according to northjersey.com. Entrants' names will be placed in a drawing and chosen according to size and gender. Clothing is also needed for a segment of the show called “Through the Years.” Wanted are Elmwood Park High School varsity jackets, cheerleading uniforms or jackets and football and scouting uniforms.
