Wayne Police Warn Of ATM Skimming WAYNE, N.J. -- An advisory has been issued by the Wayne Police Department to warn residents about the dangers of ATM Skimming. Skimmers are small electronic devices that steal card details and fit over the swipe or push slot for debit and credit cards.  If anything seems out of place, unusually bulky, or poorly affixed to the machine, gently tug on it. If it moves or comes away from the ATM, it may be a skimming device. The devices are only temporarily affixed with glue or tape and have a battery life of about two to four hours. Calling Hours For Poughkeepsie Councilman Hermann Announced POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Calling hours are Tuesday for Poughkeepsie Councilman J. Tracy Hermann who died March 3.Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. March 8 at William. G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A memorial service is planned 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9 at  at Christ Episcopal Church. Hermann died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on Thursday. He was 52.  He was a teacher, public servant and leading LGBT advocate. He is survived by his husband, Matt, and a daughter, Roxy. Click here for more information.

Poughkeepsie Man Sentenced To Year In Jail For DWI POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A man from Poughkeepsie will spend a year behind bars after pleading guilty to a felony DWI charge, reports Poughkeepsie Journal. Norman Reis, 62, of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced to one year in Dutchess County Jail, had his license revoked and was ordered to pay the mandatory fine and surcharge of $2,520, reports Poughkeepsie Journal. Active Auxiliary Police Officer Mark Dorfman succumbed to cancer on Saturday, March 5 surrounded by his family in Florida. He was 77.
