Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Woman With Child Shoots At Another Woman On Newark Street: Police Police in Newark are looking for a Newark woman who they say shot at another woman on a city street Thursday night.  Giache S. Smalley, 23, pulled up to the 200 block of Fabyan Place around 10:15 p.m. Inside her car -- a black, 2-door 2000 Mitsubushi eclipse -- were two passengers, including a child in the back seat, according to police.  Smalley got out of the car and opened fire on the woman, who ran from the scene and was unhurt.  A warrant has been issued for Smalley's arrest on a charge of aggravated assault. Family With Autistic, Diabetic Kids Needs Help After Bayonne Fire Several people were affected by a devastating fire that heavily damaged two multifamily homes in Bayonne Wednesday evening. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries reported.  Unfortunately, nearly 40 residents lost their homes, including one family of 10 that is now seeking the community's help.  Faith Garcia has started a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of her large family, which includes infants as well as two autistic children. Woman Hit While Crossing Linden Street In Serious Condition A 29-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday night when she was struck by a vehicle, Lt. Christopher Guenther of the Linden Police Department said in a statement.  The woman was crossing East Elizabeth Avenue at McCandless Street around 10 p.m. when she was hit by a Ford Escape heading east on East Elizabeth, Geunther said.  The woman was taken to University Hospital in Newark. The driver was unhurt and remained on the scene. Bayonne Fire Displaces Dozens Of People Two Bayonne homes suffered heavy damage in a fire Wednesday night, authorities said.  The blaze broke out on E. 16th Street around 6 p.m. in a garbage can between the two homes, News 12 New Jersey reported. The fire spread to both and went to multiple alarms before it was brought under control in about an hour.  A total of 39 people were displaced by the fire, News 12 reported.  A woman suffered a minor injury and three firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.

Newark Man Sentenced To A Decade In Prison On Weapons Charge A 50-year-old Newark man with an extensive history of arrests was sentenced Wednesday to ten years in federal prison for weapons offenses. As a convicted felon, Reginald Moultrie was legally barred from owning or possessing a weapon, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Craig Carpenito said in a statement. But on July 20, 2017, he was in possession of an assault rifle with a high-capacity magazine, Moultrie admitted in court.
