Fairfield Police Arrest Two Women, Including Felon On Probation FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two women, including a felon on probation, were arrested on a string of charges Saturday after an officer pulled them over for a routine traffic stop on Commerce Drive, police said. Around 9:30 p.m., an officer stopped a car driven by Meghan Cooper, 23, of Midland Street, Bridgeport, because it had no front license plate and the rear plate was displayed on the rear dashboard, police said. Fairfield Police Looking For Thief With Home Depot Goods FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A shoplifter ran off with $800 in equipment from Home Depot Friday, police said. Employees of the Kings Highway Cutoff store said the man placed two Milwaukee fuel drivers, valued at $399 each, on the customer service desk around 4 p.m., saying he needed to get some things he wanted to return. When the clerk wasn’t looking, the man picked up the drivers and fled the store, police said. Police have a plate number on his car and are reviewing surveillance video.

Fairfield Police: Man Punched Woman In Black Rock Turnpike Fight FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Stratford man was arrested Friday after he punched his girlfriend in the head during an argument about another woman that spilled from a car out into the street, police said. Fairfield Cops: Tardy Bank Robber Nabbed, Charged In Four Incidents FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police have arrested a suspected serial bank robber they believe donned a mask but showed up too late to rob a Southport People’s United Bank that had just closed in February. Joseph Boccuzzi, 34, of Maplewood Terrace, Norwalk, has already been arrested for bank robberies in Stamford and Wilton and is suspected of more, police said. Traffic From Downtown Shelton To Route 8 Rerouted Until February 2019 SHELTON, Conn. — The Department of Transportation has announced that the Route 8 northbound on-ramp from Howe Avenue, Route 110 in Shelton will be closed starting from now through February 2019, according to state Sen.
