Car Slams Through Garage, Sails Into Pine Creek In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield homeowner had an unhappy parking experience Friday. As the man was attempting to park his car in the garage under his house, the car accelerated through the garage and out the back of the house, falling into Pine Creek. The Fairfield Police Department responded at 3:35 p.m. The driver and his dog were not injured in the accident. The Fairfield Police Dive Team responded and completed the task of removing the car from the creek. Caught In The Act: Two Men Charged In Burglary At Country Club In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — When officers responded to a burglar alarm activation at the Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield early Sunday, they found two men inside the building, police said. The alarm was at 12:35 a.m. at the country club at 500 Algonquin Road. Both suspects fled on foot, but they were taken into custody on Old Oaks Road a short time later near the golf course, police said. Westport Police: Woman Stole Landscaping Check From Mailbox WESTPORT, Conn. — A West Haven woman was arrested recently after police said she forged a check and stole nearly $2,000 from a town man. Tiffany Falcone, 44, of Ocean Avenue, was charged with third-degree forgery and fourth-degree larceny, police said. She was held on $10,000 bond. The arrest stems from a June 2016 incident in which the Westport man received an overdue payment notice from his landscaper, police said. Westport Cops: Woman Swipes Energy Drinks From Stop & Shop WESTPORT, Conn. — A Norwalk woman was arrested in Westport for trying to steal cases of Red Bull and Monster drinks from Stop & Shop, police said. Christina Foley, 32, of Benedict Street, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 12, police said. On June 2 at around 6 p.m., a loss prevention officer for the Post Road East store stopped Foley, who walked out the front door without paying for $437.09 worth of the drinks hidden under bags in a shopping cart, police said. Foley was held on $500 bond.

Westport Cops: Man 'Returns' $955 Sweater, Gets Arrested WESTPORT, Conn. — A Chappaqua, N.Y., man who police said stole nearly $1,000 from Mitchell’s in a fake return scheme in 2015 was arrested Thursday on a warrant, police said. Richard Becker, 52, of Martha Place, was charged with fifth-degree larceny. He was held on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 19. Westport Police: Waterbury Woman Hid Drugs In Underwear WESTPORT, Conn. — A Waterbury woman face drug and interfering charges after a routine police stop in Westport Thursday. Mellissa Hernandez, 27, of Woodside Avenue, was charged with criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer, possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, police said.
