Sign Of The Times: Motel Hi-Ho To Replace Neon Icon With Modern LED Model FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Visitors checking in to the landmark Motel Hi-Ho won’t be able to check out its iconic sign for a while. The recently refurbished hotel is replacing the more than 55-year-old neon sign with a more modern LED model, according to Connecticut Post. Stratford Ready To Wave Goodbye To Class Of 2017 STRATFORD, Conn. — Wednesday is the big day for seniors at both Stratford public high schools. The Stratford High School Class of 2017 festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Penders Field. Graduates should be on the field no later than 5:15 p.m. Bunnell High School will also wave goodbye to its senior class at 6 p.m. on the school’s turf field. The stadium will open at 4 p.m. for open seating. In light of the field house construction, several clubs will be selling water and refreshments and food trucks will be on site. Thursday's The Big Day For Fairfield High School Seniors FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Students at both of Fairfield’s two high schools will graduate Thursday, June 15. Fairfield Ludlowe will host its graduation at 6 p.m. at its own Taft Field. Students need to be at the school at 5 p.m. and gates will open then. Families are asked to carpool and park in the lower front lot of Unquowa Road or the rear student parking lot or at Ludlowe or Tomlinson middle schools. Samson White, 45, of Fairfield Avenue, was charged with sixth-degree larceny just before 2 p.m., when officers looking for a man who fled the Grasmere Avenue store found him on Black Rock Turnpike near the Bridgeport border, police said. Fairfield Police: Two Downtown Break-Ins Reported Overnight FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield police reported two overnight burglaries at downtown businesses Monday morning. An employee of Centro Ristorante called police around 6 a.m. because someone had thrown rocks through a side emergency exit door, police said. Nothing was taken in the restaurant. Around the same time, police received a report that someone forced open a side door at Sunny Daes, an ice cream parlor also on the Post Road. The report was not complete on that incident Monday.

Employees at Steffano’s Restaurant and Pizzeria noticed the unit missing from a dolly behind the eatery on June 9. Surveillance video appears to show two men — one in a pickup truck and one in a van — pull up to the unit, which was valued at $5,000, police said. The investigation continues. Fairfield Cops: Woman Finds Suspicious Men, One On PCP, Parked In Driveway FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Stratford man who told officers he had smoked PCP was arrested Friday after a woman reported two suspicious men parked in her driveway, police said. The woman said the two men parked around 6:15 p.m. and one came to the door and asked about doing work around the house, police said. The car then left and pulled into the upper parking lot at Tunxis Hill Park.
