Westport Police: Woman Used Fake ID In Attempted Diamond Bracelet Buy WESTPORT, Conn. — A Waterbury woman was arrested Thursday after she attempted to buy a $3,950 diamond tennis bracelet with what appeared to be a fake ID and credit card, police said. Jessie Siddell, 39, of Wildwood Street, was charged with criminal attempt at third-degree larceny, police said. On Aug. 25, officers were sent to Lux, Bond and Green on a report a woman was opening a credit line with false identification. Second Motorcyclist Sent To Hospital In Shelton Thursday SHELTON, Conn. — A Shelton man sustained life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident, the second of the day to send a rider to the hospital Thursday, police said. The second accident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred around 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Howe Avenue and Grove Street, police said. The motorcyclist, Robert Freiler, 53, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Shelton police, fire and EMS responded to the scene. The earlier accident happened about a half-mile away on River Road. Shelton Police: Motorcyclist Sent To Hospital In Morning Crash SHELTON, Conn. — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries this morning when his motorcycle collided with a motor vehicle on Route 110, police said. The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. and police blocked Route 110 from Grove Street to Belmont Avenue to investigate. The motorcyclist was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, police said. Two Arrested After Fairfield Police K9 Sniffs Out Drugs In Car FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two Bridgeport men were arrested on drug charges Thursday after a routine afternoon traffic stop, police said. Around 1:30 p.m., Fairfield officers stopped a car for misuse of a plate on Commerce Drive near Coolidge Street.
