Fairfield Police: Woman Sent To Hospital In Motorcycle Crash FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A motorcycle passenger was sent to the hospital Saturday, after a food delivery driver made an unexpected U-turn in front of the bike, sending her to the pavement, police said. The motorcycle was traveling south on South Benson Road near Craig Court around 7:45 p.m. and was unable to stop when the car made the turn, police said. The vehicles did not make contact, but the motorcycle crashed. When officers arrived, the 59-year-old woman was lying on the road with a laceration on her head, police said. Fairfield Police: Bullet Shattered Window At New Luxury Apartments FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Someone shot through the window of a third-floor unit at the Trademark Fairfield, the new luxury apartment complex near Fairfield Metro train station, police said. The bullet shattered the glass and lodged in a bedroom closet of the unoccupied apartment on the building’s south side, police said. Police believe it was a larger caliber than a BB gun. Fairfield Police: Fairfield U. Guest Slid Down Tent Pole At Campus Ball FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A guest of a Fairfield University student was arrested Friday after he shimmied 30 feet up a tent pole at the university’s annual President’s Ball, police said.
