Thefts From Unlocked Cars Reported In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two residents of South Gate Lane reported thefts from their vehicles on Sunday, police said. One resident told police someone entered her unlocked BMW sometime after 11 p.m., stealing a purse, wallet and a cellphone valued at $1,550. Another resident reported that someone entered three of his vehicles, which were all unlocked and in the driveway, stealing about $2 in loose change.
