Fairfield Man Flips Car On Black Rock Turnpike FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield driver was arrested Saturday after he rear-ended another car and flipped his car onto a median on Black Rock Turnpike, police said. Jack Mcmahon, 23, of Mill Hill Lane, was charged with driving under the influence and following too closely in the 4:11 p.m. incident, which was caught on surveillance video at a neighboring storefront, police said. Two Arrested After Brief Police Chase In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Two men were arrested early Sunday after they broke into a locked storage building at Giant Steps School and led officers on a brief chase through woods, police said. Officers were called to the Barberry Road school by a security company shortly after 5 a.m. and confronted the two suspects who fled on foot, police said. Police: Sneaker Thief Caught On Video In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield Police have released photos of a man they say stole seven pairs of Nike sneakers from the DSW on the Post Road on Friday. The shoe store manager alerted police around 6:30 p.m. after a review of surveillance video showed a heavyset white or Hispanic man stuffing the sneakers into a large black bag he pulled from underneath his shirt and leaving the store without paying, police said.
