Father, Son Arrested After Parking Lot Fight in Fairfield, Police Say FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A round of horseplay that escalated to a fistfight between a father and son early Saturday morning left the father heading to the hospital and both men arrested, police said. Officers were flagged down to the parking lot at 238 Post Road around 3:30 a.m., when a witness saw two men in a car punching each other, police said. Police: Trumbull Man Arrested After Choking Pregnant Woman In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Trumbull man was arrested Saturday after he grabbed a pregnant woman by the neck and shoved her up against a car during an early morning argument in Fairfield, police said. Man Charged With Striking Woman In Parking Lot At Westport Police Station WESTPORT, Conn. — A Fairfield man was arrested on assault, drug and child endangerment charges Sunday after he was seen striking a woman in a car in the Westport police station parking lot, police said. A 6-week-old infant was in the car at the time of the incident, police said. Steven Shulman, 31, of Ruane Street, was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and sale of a controlled substance, police said. Exide Gets All Clear To Continue Post Road Clean-Up In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Remediation work has resumed at the former Exide Battery plant on the Post Road, months after the discovery of PCBs at the site meant a mandatory work stoppage and review of the clean-up plan, town officials announced Friday.
