Fairfield Police: Man Stopped While Wearing Stolen Coat FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man who police say stole nearly $300 in Kohl’s merchandise Saturday was arrested when officers found him wearing a coat and carrying sneakers that still had their security tags attached, police said. Fairfield Police: Man Used Dead Woman's Tag To Snag Handicapped Parking FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield man was given a $150 ticket after he used his neighbor’s dead mother’s handicapped placard to park in handicapped spaces at the Fairfield train station, police said. On Friday, a Redfield Road woman told police that she thought her neighbor, Steven Harris, 41, of Redfield Road, took the tag that was to be cancelled after her mother’s death and was using it at the station, police said. Police: Bridgeport Man Busted With Loaded Gun, Cocaine In Traffic Stop FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man faces weapons and drug charges after he nearly hit several cars in clear view of police officers who had set up a routine traffic stop on North Benson Road early Sunday, police said. Shelton Man Arrested — Again — In Downtown Crime Spree SHELTON, Conn. — A Shelton man was arrested for a second time in a series of downtown robberies and burglaries in December, including the Christmas Day burglary of the American Russian Club, police said Friday.
