Blonde Stranger Nabs $300 Chain At Fairfield Dance Party FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A mystery woman made off with a Monroe man’s gold chain and pendants after he danced with her at Fairfield Theatre Company Friday night, police said. The 24-year-old told police he was at the St. Patrick’s Day party at the Sanford Street venue and started dancing with a blonde woman wearing green St. Patrick’s Day-themed glasses. Cops: Baggies Of Pot Spell Drug Charge For Norwalk Man In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Norwalk man was arrested on a drug charge early Saturday after he was found with 26 baggies of marijuana near a Kings Highway East hookah lounge, police said. An officer first approached Michael Cayo, 24, of Taylor Avenue, because the car in which he was the passenger was blocking a home’s driveway near Sky Hookah Lounge at 3:30 a.m., police said. The sergeant saw a blunt marijuana cigarette in the car and questioned those inside, police said. Cops: Phone Scammer Loots $1,800 From Fairfield Senior FAIRFIELD, Conn. — An 85-year-old Fairfield man told Fairfield police he believed he was the victim of a phone scam — but not until after he wired nearly $1,800 to someone posing as his “grandson,” police said. The man said a person claiming to be his grandson called him Friday evening to say he had been arrested for manslaughter and needed the victim’s help. The victim sent the scammer an $800 money gram and wired another $995 through Western Union, police said. The victim said he had poor hearing and thought the caller sounded like his grandson. Police are investigating.

Bridgeport Man Runs Red Light, Faces Multiple Charges In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man faces several charges after he ran a red light early Saturday and officers found marijuana in his car, police said. Officers first noticed Charles Hines, 29, of Valley Avenue, speeding in the area of Sky Hookah Lounge on Kings Highway East, police said.
