Thieves Steal Car's Hatchback, Handbag In Southport Parking Lot FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A woman who parked in a Southport parking lot Friday morning came back to find her car’s rear hatchback was missing, Fairfield police said. Police: Fairfield Man Made False 911 Calls To Hide Cheating From Girlfriend FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Southport man made two false 911 calls early Monday in an attempt to give himself an alibi for cheating on his girlfriend, police said. Police said Christopher Lynch, 26, of Mill Hill Road, called 911 to report he had been mugged at the Fairfield Metro train station. Bronx Man Who Cashed Bad Check Arrested Two Years Later In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police caught up to a Bronx, N.Y. man nearly two years after they say he cashed a fake check from a Fairfield senior home care agency.
