Fairfield Police: Bridgeport Man Nabbed In Overnight Drive In Stolen Car FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested early Monday when a police officer spotted him driving a stolen car through Fairfield, police said. The officer stopped Kalex Garcia, 40, of Madison Avenue, at about 1:30 a.m. near the corner of Post Road and South Pine Creek Road after he noticed the car had no front license plate and tinted windows, police said. When asked, Garcia said a friend let him borrow the car, but a check of the VIN showed it was reported stolen out of Waterbury on Dec. 23, police said. In February 2016, a Supercuts manager suspected an employee was stealing and surveillance cameras were installed the following month, police said. Employee Jessica Lopez, 35 of Woodward Avenue, was caught on tape stealing money given to her by customers on five separate occasions, police said. The thefts totaled about $100.
