HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Mary P. "Chickie" Schalhoub, of Hasbrouck Heights, died on Saturday, Jan. 14. She was 87.Schalhoub worked alongside her husband, running two successful businesses, Joe's Fish Market in North Bergen and Chicken Delight in Hasbrouck Heights. "She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt," information from the funeral home noted.

FORT LEE, N.J. -- Liazi Qirici, of Fort Lee, died on Wednesday, Jan. 18. He was 73.He is survived by his wife, Liliana; daughter Joana Qirici and her husband Darien Baholli grandchild Aris Baholli; and siblings Gjergji Qirici, Xhuvi Qirici and Lida Gogo.

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Olga Vretenar (Mulinkova) Mulroy, of Northvale, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10."She escaped from Communist Czechoslovakia several months before the president at the time, Alexander Dubcek, loosened up the borders just prior to the Prague Spring and subsequent Warsaw Pact invasion," information from the funeral home noted.
Mulroy had been a CAD operator for various engineering firms. She was a member of the Slovak Country Club, in Sullivan County, New York.
