HAWORTH, N.J. -- Joseph J. Benvent, of Haworth, died on Monday, Jan. 9. He was 89.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, Benvent grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, where he and his family had owned and operated Quality Market, serving the local townspeople.
He then went on to a career in property management, including two Bergen County properties, Hackensack Garden Apartments and Ridge Park Apartments. "He can be remembered for his warm smile and twinkle in his eyes," information from the funeral home noted.

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- Lillian Brunetti, of Hawthorne, died on Thursday, Jan. 12. She was 60.Born in Passaic, Brunetti lived in Garfield for 33 years before settling in Hawthorne 27 years ago. She was a librarian for 36 years, working with the Englewood Public Library for 12 years, the Franklin Lakes Public Library for 13 years and the Mary Help of Christians Academy in North Haledon for the past 11 years.
She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Garfield and St. Anthony's Church in Hawthorne, and she was a member of the American Library Association.

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Rose Lucy Barcella Luty -- a Minoa, New York, resident, formerly of Garfield and Fair Lawn -- died on Wednesday, Jan. 11. She was 95.Luty was a former parishioner of St. Ann's Church, in Fair Lawn, and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Cosmo Club, in Fair Lawn.

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- John A. Salvatore -- a 50-year Elmwood Park resident, formerly of Fair Lawn -- died on Jan. 13. He was 89.Salvatore served in Army during the Korean War, and he was a photographer. Before he retired in 1992, at the age of 65, he was a motion picture lab technician for Technicolor Laboratories in New York City. He screened and approved prints for the motion picture and television industry.
