Fort Lee Actor To Perform In 'La Gioconda' At BergenPAC
FORT LEE, N.J. -- The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera has announced that tenor Giovanni Simone, a Fort Lee resident, will perform the role of Isepo, a Scribe, in the company's grand production of Amilcare Ponchielli's "La Gioconda" on Sunday, April 17. Simone has performed in other Verismo Opera productions. This past October, he appeared in the company's production of "Lucia di Lammermoor," as Normanno. He has sung with several opera companies, including the Baltimore Opera, New Jersey State Opera and Philadelphia Grand Opera.

Southport's Pequot Library Brings Author Talk On Worldwide Golf Adventures
SOUTHPORT, Conn. -- Come hear award-winning journalist John Steinbreder discuss his book, "From Turnberry to Tasmania: Adventures of a Traveling Golfer," on Wednesday, March 30, at Pequot Library, in Southport.

Wyckoff Family YMCA Holds Open Call Talent Search Auditions
WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Wyckoff Family YMCA is hosting open call talent auditions Sunday, April 3, and Saturday, April 9, for a performance later in the month.
The auditions will be from 2:45-5 p.m. on Sunday, and 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The organization is seeking singers, dancers, musicians, variety acts and performers with special skills. Solo and group entries are encouraged, and all ages are welcome to audition. Acts should be prepared to show their complete performance selection.
