'Folk Music Meets Neuroscience' Comes To Rutherford
RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- An innovative concert will come to Rutherford on Sunday, April 10. "Folk Music Meets Neuroscience" will combine folk music with information about advances in neuroscience and how music can affect the brain.
"This professional concert will appeal to innovative curiosity, a love of music, and an interest in the current and traditional folk scene," a news release notes. Dorothy Diane Borrell, 95, Cliffside Park Resident
CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Dorothy Diane (Watt) Borrell, of Cliffside Park, died on Sunday, March 27. She was 95.
Borrell served in the British army veteran during World War II. "It was during this time when she met her beloved husband Samuel, who was serving as a U.S. Army soldier," information from the funeral home noted.

William J. Canty Jr., 67, Bergenfield Resident
BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- William J. Canty Jr., of Bergenfield, died on Friday, March 25,. He was 67.
Canty was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers, an avid ballroom dancer, a lifelong Irish historian and world traveler, and president of the Ridgewood chapter of the Irish American Unity Conference.
He is survived by his daughter, Jane Canty Cowen; sisters Bridget Lohmeyer, and Honorah Donato and her husband Vincent; granddaughter Jocelyn; 12 nieces and nephews; and 22 grand-nieces and -nephews.
Canty was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Canty.
