'Be Aware Of Your Surroundings': Multiple Coyote Sightings Reported In Rye Police in a Westchester County city are warning people to be extra vigilant for coyotes when outside after multiple reported sightings.  The coyotes were seen in Rye in the area of Osborn Road and Woods Lane, City of Rye Police announced on Monday, Oct. 31.  "If you see a coyote, do not approach it," police said, also saying that people should "be aware of your surroundings."  Authorities said that there would be extra patrols in order to keep residents safe and that anyone that sees a coyote in their neighborhood should call police.

Lived With 'Fervor, Tenacity': 43-Year-Old Legal Consultant From Scarsdale Dies Of Cancer A 43-year-old woman from Westchester County who worked as a legal consultant and was a lover of traveling and the outdoors has died after an eight-year battle with cancer.  Scarsdale resident Rosanna Kelly died on Saturday, Oct. 29 from pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer, her obituary said.  Born in 1979 in the Dominican Republic, Kelly later moved to New York City and graduated from Mary Bertram High School before earning her law degree from Syracuse Law School in 2005, according to her obituary. Two Lanes Of Westchester Avenue In Port Chester To Close For 6 Days Motorists are being warned that two lanes of a busy road in Westchester County will soon close.  Beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 1, two lanes of Westchester Avenue westbound in Port Chester between U.S. Route 1 (North Main Street) and Abendroth Avenue will close between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 6, the New York Department of Transportation announced.  The closure is to allow for the movement of equipment, officials said.
