WALLINGTON, N.J. – Konstanty Brzek, a resident of Wallington, died Thursday, March 3. He was 91.
He was employed at Okonite Cable Co. in Passaic for 42 years and retired in 1989. He was also a parishioner at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Wallington for over 60 years, and also attended St. Mary's Church in Korona, Fla.

MAHWAH, N.J. – Doris J. Carafa, a resident of Mahwah, died Saturday, March 5. She was 90.
Born in Union City, and raised in Cliffside Park, she lived in Oakland for over 40 years, finally settling in Mahwah 14 years ago. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oakland Elks-Ladies Auxiliary and a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Health R.C. Church in Oakland.

HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. – Imogene Hastings, a resident of Haverstraw, died Friday, March 4. She was 80.
Hastings is survived by her companion, Walter May; daughters, Peggy Knight and husband, Philip; Cindy Conklin and husband, Ray; Brenda Bottomley and husband, Dennis; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Luther Guthrie, of Garnerville and John Wesley King, of Tuscon.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathy Watkins, daughter-in-law Dorothy Guthrie and brothers, Lonnie Ray Guthrie, Lawrence Guthrie and Sterling Guthrie.
Frances Dare, 94, Of Englewood
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – Frances Dare, a resident of Englewood, died Tuesday, March 1. She was 94.
After graduating from Vassar College, she spent many years as a nursery school teacher. She was a member of ORT as she served as the president, treasurer and anything else that was needed. She was honored last year for her many years of committed service.
She is survived by her brothers, Ed Bonoff and Louis Bonoff; her daughter, Emilie and her husband, Sean Hannon; and her grandchildren, Amandacera Hannon and Nicholas George Hannon.

NORWALK, Conn. – June H. Gilbertie, a resident of Norwalk, died Thursday, March 3. She was 84.
She attended local schools and was retired from Vallerie Transportation.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne and Mark Gilbertie; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Toni VanValen; and her brother, Richard MacEachern.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Bruce Axford Becker, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Friday, March 4. He was 69.
Born in Jersey City and raised in North Bergen, he resided in Fair Lawn for 33 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Hope College in Holland, Mich. He served with the National Guard from 1970-76. He was a former member of the Woodcliff Community Church in North Bergen, where he engaged in various church activities. He was also active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years and a supporter of the Project Liberty Ship Program.

NORWALK, Conn. – Roberta C. Gottlieb, a resident of Norwalk, died Friday, March 4. She was 64.
In 1969, she graduated from Brien McMahon High School and received an associate’s degree from Norwalk Community College. She had a 30-year career at Purdue Pharma. She also volunteered at Animals in Distress of Wilton and served on their board for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Lynn Barate; brother-in-law, Robert Barate; her nieces, Lindsey Barate Buono and her husband, Matthew; Marissa Barate; and great niece, Brooklynn Buono.
