She was 69.She was born Aug.2,1946, in Topeka, Kan., to the late Norma and Jack Roder. In the early 2000s, she took up sculpture and became admired for her skill in creating life-like busts. Upon seeing her work for the first time, most people were amazed by her ability to transcend her affliction. She also became known for her imaginative, original gifts that she would bestow on family, friends, doctors and shopkeepers.
