PATERSON, N.J. -- Joseph Anthony Brino Jr., a resident of Paterson, died. He was 87.He was a branch manager for Foxboro Company for 25 years and a retired major in the Army National Guard and Reserves. He enjoyed his hobby as a licensed private and commercial pilot, as well as being a flight instructor.

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Neil G. Farans, of Westport, died on Wednesday, Feb. 17. He was 77.
Farans attended Norwalk High School, and graduated from the University of Florida, before joining the Air Force Reserve.
He then returned home to join the family business, Pennsylvania Petroleum Company (Pepco), for nearly 30 years, before founding Eastern Environmental Technologies, a waste management disposal company. He was a past president of the Norwalk Exchange Club, and an active member within the community.
