BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Alfred M. Elter, a resident of Bergenfield, died Friday, Feb.19. He was 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Dumont. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack.
Visiting hours are from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
Gertrude Antonia Carroll, 97, Of Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Gertrude Antonia Carroll, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, Feb.16. She was 97.Carroll taught in the city of Poughkeepsie schools. Following her teaching career, she worked as a secretary at IBM in Poughkeepsie.
She is survived by Pauline Halladeen, Nancy Mulvey, Cathy Strang, and other family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary, and her brothers, Robert and Thomas

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Edward W. Casinover, a resident of Pearl River, died Wednesday, Feb.17. He was 69.Casinover recently retired to Pasadena, Md., to be with his grandson. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Key Bank, Westmont, Ill., where he was an international banker.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Jeanette K. Leva, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Thursday, Feb.18. She was 67.Leva was employed as a technician at IBM in East Fishkill.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Ferrante and his fiancée Doris Mateo of New Windsor, and Gina Hayden and her husband Killy of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Angelina and Joseph Ferrante Jr., Killy and Cole Hayden; her sister, Joanne Mitkowski; her niece, Julianne Woblers; and her nephew, Eric Mitkowski.

LODI, N.J. -- Brian Piela, a resident of Lodi, died Thursday, Feb.18. He was 72.
He is survived by his brother, Bernard J. of Hawthorne.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard E. and Josephine Piela.
The funeral Mass was scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at St Francis de Sales RC Church in Lodi. Interment was at St. Francis Cemetery.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Maria Fusco, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 61.Fusco worked as a secretary for many years for Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She enjoyed volunteering in the gift shop as a member of the Auxiliary of Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Rochelle Park Breakfast Benefits Legion Baseball
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- Get together with friends on Sunday, Feb.21, at the Rochelle Park American Legion Post 170 and Lodi American Legion Post 136 Pancake Breakfast to support Legion Baseball.All proceeds of the breakfast will benefit the county Legion teams. There will be pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, tea, coffee, and homemade coffee cake.
The cost is $4 per person. Children under 10 years of age are free.
The breakfast will take place 8 a.m. to noon.
The breakfast is at Rochelle Park American Legion Post 170, 33 West Passaic St. in Rochelle Park.
