Ramsey Hospital President Rides For MS To Honor Mom
RAMSEY, N.J. -- The community is invited to join Ramsey resident and Overlook Medical Center President Alan Lieber in the Bike MS Country Challenge Sept. 17 and 18. Lieber's mother, Thelma Lieber of River Vale, is afflicted with MS. Every year, he does personal fund-raising, rallies a team, and rides 100 miles with his wife for the two-day event through Morris and Somerset counties. He started Team Atlantic Health System. Medium Specializing In Teen Suicide Talks In Allendale
ALLENDALE, N.J. -- A medium will discuss teen suicide and messages from beyond at a talk Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Lee Memorial Library in Allendale. Medium Teresa St. Frances returns to the library to discuss her new book, "What Happens The Day After? Messages from Adolescent Suicides." BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- Car enthusiasts are invited to show their wheels at the 3rd Annual Firefighter Bob Kochka Cruise Night on Friday, Sept. 23 in Bloomingdale.The benefit event runs 5-9:30 p.m. at Walter T. Bergen School and is sponsored by the Bloomingdale Fire Department in memory of firefighter Bob Kochka who lost his battle to Pancreatic Cancer in 2013. Take On Restoration Of 9/11 Mural
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- A 9/11 mural created by Westchester County artists will be restored and maintained thanks to an initiative with Southern Westchester BOCES/Center for Career Services. The large mural with over 1,500 individually handpainted tiles was constructed at Richard Presser Park on Central Avenue (Webb Field), but hasn't held up, likely due to changing weather conditions.
