MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Anne D. Proctor of Maywood died on Wednesday, Dec. 14. She was 81. She was born June 27, 1935. She lived in Barnegat, formerly in Northvale and Maywood. She was the owner of Cassandra Gifts in Rochelle Park for several years. She was a member of the Barnegat Library and was an avid reader, loved to garden, enjoyed traveling and loved animals. PINE PLAINS, NY -- Wallace E. McCauley, of Pine Plains, died on Wednesday, Dec. 14. He was 83. He was born on June 6, 1933, in Pine Plains, the son of the late Nelson and MaryEllen MacKenzie McCauley. He was a fabricator for De Laval in Poughkeepsie. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being with family and his dogs. He also loved spending time at Saranac Lake and on the St. Lawrence River. On July 19, 1959 in Poughkeepsie he married Di Ann Pratt McCauley. POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Bernard L. Rudberg, of Poughkeepsie died on Dec. 14. He was 84. He was born May 1, 1932, in Camden, to George Bernard Rudberg and Anna Christina Ahlstrom Rudberg. He grew up in Marlton and Franklinville, NJ, graduating from Clayton High School in 1951. CARMEL, N.Y. -- Future engineers from George Fischer Middle School brought home prizes from a recent competition at Dutchess County Community College. The students built alternately powered vehicles during technology education class for the Magnetic Levitation Engineering Challenge Students had to adhere to specifications and the vehicle had to be either powered by a battery powered electric motor or by wind. YONKERS, N.Y. -- Christmas came early for Catholic Charities and The Aisling Irish Community Center in Yonkers with the delivery of nearly 1,000 toys and coats from Empire City Casino. The casino’s 10th Annual Christmas Spirit Toy and Coat Drive is intended to help ensure that New Yorkers in need have a warm coat this winter and a toy or two to put under the Christmas tree for their children. Hotel Ran Weeks Without Permits
NYACK, N.Y. -- The TIME hotel in Nyack opened in May then reportedly ran weeks without appropriate permits, according to Lohud.The business was cited various times by the village's building department for running without a certificate of occupancy, according to Lohud.
