OAKLAND, N.J. -- Ronald S. Cole of Oakland, died on Dec. 19. He was 52. He is survived by his wife, Meredith (McCambley); and his stepdaughters, Catherine, Grace, and Elizabeth Leshner; by his mother Judy and his brothers, Edward, Michael, Eric, and Patrick. He is predeceased by his father Edward.

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Give three cheers to the Tuckahoe Tigers cheerleaders, who will head to the Nationals in Orlando. Both the Junior and Senior Recreation Cheer teams are competing Feb. 11-12 in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World. POMONA, N.Y. -- Hon. Peter Branti Jr., of Pomona, died on Dec. 23. He was 79. He was born on Aug. 31, 1937 in West Haverstraw to Peter Sr. and Loretta (Natale) Branti. Peter married the love of his life Ann Spissinger on Aug. 25, 1962 in St Peters Church in Haverstraw. He served proudly in the US Navy Reserve. A Metro-North engineer who derailed a 2013 train after falling asleep in the Bronx near the Spuyten Duyvil station will receive a lifetime disability pension, according to lohud.com. William Rockefeller will receive $3,200 a month in addition to a federal railroad retirement pension he was awarded, according to lohud.com. Jury: Garfield Man Guilty In Cliffside Park Shooting Death
A Garfield man was found guilty on Wednesday in the shooting death of an unarmed Fairview man near a Cliffside Park bar in 2012, according to the Asbury Park Press.com. Michael A. Sampson, 42, was charged with murdering Hector “Tito” Zabala, 33, not far from the Boom Bar on Anderson Avenue, according to the Asbury Park Press.com. Police Investigating Ramapo Dispute Say Man Had Three Unlicensed Handguns
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Police investigating a dispute in Chestnut Ridge on Friday said they foud a man in possession of three unlicensed handguns. Officers responded to a private residence to follow up on the civil dispute, Ramapo Police said. A man from Beverly Hills, Florida, age 56, was found in possession of the three handguns and didn't have a New York State Pistol Permit, for any of them, police said.
