Have Massive Mahwah Clean-Up
MAHWAH, N.J. -- Volunteers are needed for a spring cleanup in Mahwah on Sunday with the AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassadors. The March 20 cleanup takes place at 189 Stag Hill Road from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. People can volunteer for all or part of the time. Wear comfortable work boots and bring plenty of water. Gloves and work tools can be provided. Tires, recyclables and other trash will be removed from illegal dumping sites around Stag Hill. New Jersey To Get Largest Planetarium In Western Hemisphere
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- The largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere is coming to New Jersey thanks to a $5 million gift from a former teacher. Liberty Science Center in Jersey City announces that former high school teacher Jennifer Chalsty of Short Hills will fund a new planetarium that will be named in her honor. WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Intramural programs are being offered at the Wyckoff YMCA to area high school students.Water Polo runs 4:30-5:30 p.m. starting Saturday, April 16 for eight weeks. Join former Army water polo coach, Tim Hausch, who will lead intramural water polo games in the Boye Pool. The program is open to anyone in high school looking to try the game of water polo. Lodi Fire Department Warms Up For Annual Wet Down
LODI, N.J. -- Firefighters in Lodi are planning a wet down June 11 to welcome a new engine to the department.Lodi Volunteer Fire Department Hose Company 2 is replacing its 1990 Seagrave with a 2016 Spartan Gladiator.
