Tax Day got bumped to April 18 this year, but that doesn't take the sting out of having to pay Uncle Sam. The results of a 2016 Taxpayer Survey by WalletHub indicate that even though almost half of us will get a refund, more than a quarter of us would get an "IRS" tattoo to have a tax-free future, and 11 percent of us would clean toilets at Chipotle for three years. DEMAREST, N.J. -- A Nature Walk & Volunteer Day takes place Friday, April 23 in Demarest.Hosted by the Demarest Nature Center, participants should meet at the Wakelee Field Playground at 9:30 a.m. for a walk with naturalist Marc Gossen. Cliffside Park Animal Shelter Seeks Donations For Spay/Neuter Program
CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- The volunteer no-kill animal shelter in Cliffside Park is asking the community to support its spay and neuter program by making a donation. About 8 million dogs and cats enter shelters each year and about one every eight seconds are unnecessarily euthanized, according to a release from the shelter.
