Teen Skateboarder Dies After Being On Life Support In Westchester Hospital MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- A Mahopac High School student who had been on life support at Westchester Medical Center after being struck by a car Monday, June 6, died Saturday, reports lohud.com. Michael Bongiovanni, 14, had been riding a skateboard in the area of Kia Ora Boulevard and Brookside Road in Carmel when he was hit by a car driven by a Mahopac woman, reports lohud.com. Ramapo Police Respond To 169 Calls, Including Arrest Of Monsey Man RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police handled 169 calls Thursday, including the arrest of a Monsey man wanted on two warrants.A Ramapo officer stopped a vehicle without headlights illuminated at approximately 10 p.m. traveling north on Chestnut Ridge Road, police said.  The driver, 21, had no identification. Lyndhurst High Schools Plans Commemorative 9/11 Art Installment LYNDHURST, N.J.– Lyndhurst High School is commemorating the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11 with an art installation and set-up a GoFundMe site to raise the necessary funds.  Lyndhurst Waves is an installation of 2,977 flags representing each individual lost that day. Rainy Weather Didn't Dampen Annual Nanuet Street Fair NANUET, N.Y. -- People crowded Main Street for the Third Annual Nanuet Street Fair on Sunday, June 5. The fair ran 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., with entertainment all day despite some rain.  There were rides for the kids, family games, 200 booths with clothing, jewelry, crafts, art work, local businesses and much more. The Nanuet Library booth featured a spinning wheel. Many food vendors participated and there also was a beer garden.  WRCR 1700 Broadcasted live from noon until 2 p.m. The event was sponsored by the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce.
