Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Woman, 79, Hit By Car In Mountainside Dies A 79-year-old woman from Mountainside was killed Thursday night when she was struck by a car, police said.  The woman, who was not immediately identified, was crossing at Summit Road and Wyoming Drive shortly after 7 p.m. when she was hit by a Honda Civic. She was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver, a 27-year-old woman from Lebanon, stopped and remained at the intersection.  Summit Road was closed for four hours for the initial investigation. Man Charged In Fatal ‘Unprovoked’ Attack On Newark Street A 31-year-old Newark man has been arrested for striking and killing another man on a Newark street last month, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said. Oscar Kadua allegedly hit the man, 53-year-old Tyrone Johnson, as Johnson was walking along Broad Street near New Street around 8:20 p.m. May 30. Investigators said the attack was unprovoked. Kadua has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.  Johnson, also a Newark resident, fell and suffered a head injury. One Dead In Millburn House Fire, Hoarding Conditions Reported A fire that broke out at a Millburn home Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of one person, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.  The fire broke out on Norwood Terrace around 5 p.m. A person inside was pulled from the home and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.  Pictures on social media show large piles of clothing and other household items obstructing an entrance to the home.
