Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Veteran Newark Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Student A man who has worked as an art teacher in the Newark public school system for 19 years has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving a student, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.  Luis Aviles, 50, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, allegedly assaulted the 14-year-old boy on multiple occasions between December 2017 and September.  The assaults occurred on school grounds while school was in session, the boy told authorities.

Patrick Franconeri, 57, owned several firms based in New Jersey but failed to report any income from them in 2014. He admitted in court that he actually made more than $1.3 million that year, income for which he owes $558,439 in taxes, the IRS said. Bergen Sued Over Fuel Tanks The U.S. government is suing companies that control several gas stations in New York and New Jersey for allegedly violating regulations governing the maintenance of underground fuel tanks, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York announced last week.
