Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Newark Man Shot And Killed Near Vailsburg Park A 29-year-old Newark man was killed Tuesday evening, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.  Officers arriving on a report of a shooting at 97 Sunset Ave. around 6 p.m. found Jonathan Toledo-Key suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  No arrests had been made as of Wednesday, the prosecutor's office also said. Video: Tornado Touches Down In Springfield A tornado that touched down on Rt. 22 in Springfield was captured on video Wednesday afternoon as a wave of storms passed through the area.  The National Weather Service confirmed the EF-0 tornado touched downat 2:47 p.m. and lasted nearly four minutes at speeds up to 70 mph. Drivers On 287 In Boonton Give Turtle A Brake As It Crosses Roadway  A slow-walking pedestrian in Boonton briefly backed up traffic during the morning rush hour Wednesday.  Many motorists, however, probably weren't too upset with him (or her), since this pedestrian is greenish, cold-blooded and on four legs.  A large turtle was spotted in the roadway at Exit 44 off I-287 around 8 a.m., State Police confirmed.
