Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Man Who Skipped Sentencing In Fatal N. Bergen Hit-Run Captured The former Hudson County corrections officer who failed to appear for his sentencing Friday on two counts of death by auto has been arrested, a law-enforcement source told Daily Voice Monday.  Michael Hansen, 40, was expected to receive a sentence of 20 years after pleading guilty in June. Instead, the proceeding was delayed when Hansen, who had been allowed to remain free, did not show up. Airline Pilots Scheduled For Newark Flight Arrested For Intoxication: Report Two United Airlines pilots were arrested Saturday in Scotland on suspicion of intoxication, CNN reported.  The pilots, whose names were not released,  were scheduled to fly from Glasgow to Newark. Before the flight they were charged for violating a law that prohibits pilot activity while exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol.  The flight was cancelled and passengers were reassigned to other flights.  The pilots, aged 45 and 61, were "removed from service," the airline said. They remain in police custody in Scotland pending a court appearance Tuesday.

Bloomfield Man Gets 25 Years For Sexually Assaulting Drugged Toddler A 34-year-old Bloomfield resident was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison after admitting he and a woman sexually assaulted a toddler in Long Branch two years ago, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.  Jaime Mauricio Leon pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault and possession of child pornography in April.   On June 16, 2017, a passerby looked through the window of a Long Branch home and saw Leon and the woman, Olga Diaz, 32, performing sex acts on the child, authorities said. East Orange Man Killed In Newark Saturday A 34-year-old East Orange man was found shot to death in the yard of a Newark home early Saturday morning, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.  Police responded to a report of shots fired just after midnight in the 200 block of North Ninth Street. They found Vernon A. Robinson unresponsive and with multiple gunshot wounds. Click here for more.  The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after two people were found dead in Maplewood Saturday morning.  Police were called to a home in the area around 6 a.m. on a report of a woman being assaulted. Arriving officers found an injured woman in the street and she as transported to Beth Israel Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 7 a.m.  Police also found an unresponsive man inside a home in the 400 block of Walton.
