Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

The event will be held at the Union Senior Center, 968 Bonnel Court.  Proceeds from the event will be used for the 2019 Memorial Day Parade.  Tickets are $35. Website Names Best Public NJ High Schools For Sports The website Niche has released its ranking of the best public high schools for sports, with football powerhouse Wayne Hills clocking in at No. 1.  Pascack Valley High School,  River Dell and Ramapo also made the top 10.  Niche based its rankings mostly on millions of parent and student surveys, which made up 50 percent of the grade. Driver In Hoboken Strikes Pedestrian Following Crash, Authorities Say The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office urged motorists Tuesday to avoid a large area around 1st and Hudson streets where a crash investigation was underway.  Images from social media show a car on the sidewalk crashed into a building at 1st and Hudson.  According to multiple media reports and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, a car was involved in a crash at Bloomfield and First around 4 o'clock. Sleeping Teen Gets Locked Inside Union Target A 17-year-old Irvington girl was reunited with her mother Wednesday after she was accidentally locked inside the Target store on Rt. 22 E in Union, police said.  The girl had fallen asleep between two clothing aisles and woke up around 3 a.m., said Lt. Victor Correia. Police: 7 People Beat Bayonne Man In Daytime Robbery Approximately seven people attacked a Bayonne man as he was walking down the street Monday, robbing him of his cell phone, authorities said. The group approached the man from behind and began punching him in the face on East 26th Street around 4:40 p.m., Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said.  They knocked him to the ground and removed the phone from his pocket.  The man was hospitalized with minor injuries.  The incident was still under investigation Monday.
