Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Newark May Get Another 7-Eleven Store: Report A plan has been submitted to Newark officials for the construction of a 7-11 convenience store in the North Ward, Jersey Digs magazine reported Friday.  Syed Family LLC is seeking variances in order to build the store in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue near the Branch Brook Park light rail station. The site is now home to a gas station and a mechanic.

Plainfield's Rashan Gary Drafted By Packers In First Round Plainfield native Rashan Gary was drafted by the Green Bay Packers Thursday, going 12th overall in the NFL draft.  A 6'4", 277-lb. defensive end, Gary, who attended Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School before transferring to Paramus Catholic, was the No.1-ranked recruit among high school seniors in 2016. He eventually went to Michigan, where he played three seasons.  Gary earned All-Big 10 honors in his sophomore year at Michigan and was a first-team pick for the Wolverines again in 2018.  He's expected to become an instant starter by the NFL.

'Alien: The Play' Returns To North Bergen High School The students at North Bergen High School are staging an encore performance of "Alien: The Play," a theatrical production that took the Internet by storm a few weeks ago for its elaborate costumes and sets.  The play, based on the 1979 sci-fi/horror classic starring Sigourney Weaver, went viral in March after segments made their way online.
