Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Two Arrested For Bloomfield Vehicle Burglaries Two Hudson County men have been charged in a series of burglaries to vehicles in Bloomfield Monday, police said.  Dashawn Bowens, 22, of Jersey City, and 28-year-old Bayonne resident Willie Martin were arrested Thursday and Friday for the burglaries, which occurred on Berkeley Avenue, Baldwin Place, Morton Street and Orchard Street.  Surveillance video helped detectives identify the two suspects, police said.  Bowens and Martin were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and theft. At Least A Dozen Reportedly Hurt In Bus Crash At Newark Airport An employee shuttle struck a median at Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport early Friday morning, WABC 7 reported.  The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on an express ramp at Level 2 of the terminal. ABout a dozen people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the station.  In a tweet, the airport said passenger access to Terminal B was limited to Level 1 "until further notice."

Kentucky Man Tried To Bring Guns Onto Plane At Newark, TSA Says A Kentucky man was arrested at Newark Liberty International Airport Wednesday when he tried to board a plane with two loaded handguns, the Transportation Security Administration said.  The man, a resident from Versaille who was not identified by name, had a .38 caliber revolver and a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun in a carry-on, authorities said. Three-Alarm Fire Rips Through Vacant School In Newark Nearly 90 firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at the American History High School building in Newark Wednesday, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said in a statement.  The fire broke out at the vacant school on Warren Street around 12:30 p.m. It was brought under control in about 90 minutes, Ambrose said.  A fire firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at University Hospital.  The cause of the fire was under investigation.
